Cyrano de Bergerac
The title of the world-famous verse drama by Edmund Rostand in a dance adaptation? Of course! The main character of the play, namely the famous swordsman and poet Cyrano, directly invites you to grasp it in the ballet adaptation. The well-known story is not only about deep love, but above all about the opposition of inner and outer beauty. The nosed, ugly and proud Cyrano, a defender of honor and love with a rich soul, and the beautiful but empty young man Christian love the same woman, the beautiful Roxane. She chooses the physical beauty in Christian, only to realize at the end of the story that she has loved the beauty of Cyrano's soul all her life.
Sugar! (Someone likes it hot)
The musical was based on the legendary film Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe. It is unbelievable, but the aforementioned film was first shown almost sixty years ago, in 1959. The musical of the same name then achieved extraordinary success worldwide, and in December 2008 it was brought to the stage of the Municipal Theatre in Ljubljana, Slovenia, by director Stanislav Moša. He has now also taken on the direction of the production in our theatre. Two poor musicians accidentally get caught up in a war between mafia gangs. They are being hunted and have no choice but to hide safely. They change into women's clothes and get hired by a band going on tour to Miami Beach. Florida becomes a unique opportunity for the homeless musicians to disappear from the mafia's sight... However, their crazy adventure is far from over! Their disguises lead them into countless comical situations, and to top it all off, both our heroes fall in love with a charming singer and ukulele player named Sugar. As if all this weren't enough, one of our charming musicians, dressed in a woman's dress, is proposed to by an elderly millionaire...

Manon Lescaut
Director Stanislav Moša is staging Nezval's text for the second time, having first done so in 1995, when the theatre celebrated its fiftieth anniversary with this production in the newly renovated hall on Lidická Street. At the time, the director and manager wrote about Nezval's text: "There is little Czech theatre literature that can be said to be a poem. Through it speaks a true passion bound by an amazing form enchanted in the beauty of the Czech language." Moša's adaptation of Manon Lescaut, which was subtitled "lyrical drama-confession", broke away from the linear narrative of the well-known story and created a timeless parable. The old abbé de Grieux recalls his fateful relationship with a sinful saint, which gives the originally lyrical story dramatic dimensions and brings to life long-ago secrets, hints and loves in the memories of a man at the end of his life.
Bex Marshall
British Blues Award winner Bex Marshall is coming to the Czech Republic with her trio! She stands out not only for her unique style of playing the resophonic guitar, in which she combines perfect slide technique, blues-rock energy and elements of ragtime, but also for her perfectly stylish singing, which is sometimes compared to Janis Joplin or Bonnie Raitt. Bex pushes the boundaries of the blues, her songs have been repeatedly described by British music critics as "timeless, with occasional touches of genius". Bex's concert performance is then evaluated literally as a "musical tornado". Another of her unofficial nicknames is "1st lady of the British Blues". Bex Marshall was nominated in the category "best solo acoustic artist" at the European Blues Awards in 2015. Two years earlier, she won the award for best British blues singer and blues album of the year at the British Blues Awards.
Hurvínek sells the bride
Daddy, how is a bride sold? How did you come to know that someone would sell a bride, Hurvínek? Well, I read here: The National Theatre in Brno is performing Bedřich Smetana's opera The Bartered Bride. So how is it, Daddy? Well, you know, it's just like... how should I put it to you... it's a trick to buy a bride for yourself. So now I'm a fool - is it being sold or bought? You know what, Hurvajz, take Žeryk and Mánička and we'll go to the opera, it'll be easier than explaining it to you!

Balet NdB 2: Serenity / A healthy dose of madness / Dům Bernardy Alby
The choreography Serenity will bring the calm power of minimalism to the stage, inviting the audience to silence and deeper perception. The theme of the choreography is based on the contrast of movement and stillness. The dancers will move on the border of dynamic movement until the moment of absolute stop. These moments of stillness evoke living sculptures that create space for a meditative experience and a pause in a busy world. With this work, the choreographer, Barbora Rašková, tries to offer the audience a unique opportunity to slow down and let themselves be carried away by the depth of the moment.

Jakub Lenz and Jolana Svobodová
Jolie fille is the stage name of Jolana Svobodová. At the concert, she will sing her own songs and for the first time you can look forward to the composition of vocals, flute, piano and guitar. Her songwriting lyrics are somewhere on the border of folk and pop. They are based on what the heart sees and not the eyes. If you want to see into someone's soul, the easiest way to do it is through music.

An educational concert by the Moravia Brass Band chamber ensemble popularizes brass instrument playing among young listeners.
King Roger
Two worldviews, one border between them – one embodies reason and light, the other is elemental, dark and irrational. One night, a charismatic shepherd arrives at the Christian court of King Roger, disrupting the established order of Christian values and worldview. Does his teaching bring joy and goodness or only destruction and chaos? The opera King Roger by Polish composer Karol Szymanowski does not offer a clear answer; he himself described it as a mystery whose theme is man’s self-knowledge, his sexuality and spirituality.

Black and White
Sometimes a single second is enough… Black and White is essentially a modern version of the flagship of the classical repertoire – Swan Lake. It is a title that is one of the most performed ballets in the world. Our version, which was a great success in the USA, represents today. It is an attempt to approach this work to the younger generation from a different perspective, by denying all traditions and visually transforming Swan Lake as such. In the classical version of the ballet, the dominant characters are ballerinas (the main double roles of Odette – Odile), so it is mainly a statement of the female element. In our version, we offer a view of Swan Lake through the main character, Prince Siegfried, who is going through a difficult life situation associated with the treatment of a serious illness – cancer. Sometimes a second is enough – and life is turned upside down.

Golden Lyre
The musical production Golden Lyre will reveal the backstage and present the Bratislava Lyre Festival as a phenomenon of the time, without nostalgia, without idealization, but with perspective, humor and naming the defects of the former regime, which presented this exceptionally watched and popular event as a showcase of the culture of socialist Czechoslovakia. Lyre – golden, silver or bronze… In a single night, it created stars out of performers and hits out of songs. However, one inappropriate verse from the Lyre Stage caused a ban on creation and public performance, and managed to destroy the careers and lives of performers and their families.
