18:00 WORKSHOP Martin Hon + dance hall 20:00 Sabor Latino Come and try Latin American salsa dancing under the guidance of experienced instructor Martin Hon or just sit and listen to the rhythms of Cuban dance music performed by the Sabor Latino band. At the workshop you will learn the basics of Cuban salsa, which you can hone throughout the evening during the dance hall. Martin Hon is an experienced dancer and instructor of Cuban salsa. Course leader and organizer of Open Air Salsa pod Petrovem. Sabor Latino is a six-member band playing Cuban dance music (salsa and Latin jazz). You will hear well-known hits of Cuban music and salsa that will not leave you indifferent! We play music for both listening and dancing, so you can meet us at a festival, in a club at a Latino dance party or concert, at a dance lesson or at a wedding, birthday or corporate party. Members: Martin Lauer – vocals, conga, Ladislav Muroň – flutes, vocals, maracas, Tomáš Vrtek – piano, vocals, Jan Galia – double bass, vocals, Hubert Holásek – bass guitar, Adam Sikora – timbales, Enrique Rivera – guiro, claves, bongos, cowbell.

The band Druhá tráva was founded in 1991 by Robert Křesťan and Luboš Malina after their departure from Poutníky. Druhá tráva is characterized by two distinct features - the exceptional authorial and interpretative talent of the singer, lyricist and translator Robert Křesťan and the extraordinary instrumental prowess of the other members of the band. From its inception, the band Druhá tráva has been ranked among the top on the folk & country scene, not only in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Although it is often referred to as bluegrass, it has been mixing multiple styles since its inception. Bluegrass refers rather to the previous engagement of several members of the band with Poutníky from Brno.

As every year, the beautiful space of the Bishop's Court under the Peter and Paul Towers will come alive with folklore in the 28th year of the F SCÉNA 2025 folklore evenings cycle. The Jánošík Folklore Association, in cooperation with the Czechoslovak Legionnaire SPIA Czech, z.s., in co-production with the Brno City Theatre and SNIP & Co., an advertising company, has prepared this traditional spectacle for folklore lovers.

A musical ensemble composed of young musicians with a passion for live playing and improvisation. Under the leadership of bandleader Mojmír Bártek, they perform in the rhythm of jazz, swing, Latin and jazz rock.

The multi-genre music festival Pop Messe focuses on contemporary pop, rap, electronic and indie music. The next edition of the festival will take place from July 24 to 26, 2025 at the Velodrome in Brno.

Vladimír Mišík founded the band Etc… in 1974. Despite many personnel changes and a two-year ban on activities in the 1980s, the band Etc… continues to record albums and perform to this day. A significant moment was when they played as the opening act for The Rolling Stones at Prague's Strahov on August 18, 1990. By 2013, Vladimír Mišík & Etc… had released 12 regular albums and several other compilations.

Hypianosis was originally formed in 2017 as a duo of Jul Fujak and Martina Janegová, which primarily focused on improvisations on two grand pianos in the framework of so-called extended techniques. Since 2020, it has expanded its instrumentation to include other instruments, including sound objects, and will invite additional members, as evidenced by the eponymous album HYPIANOSIS+. The band will perform at Ponava on July 25, 2025, in a lineup that overlaps with NIQ (Nitrian Impro Quartet).

Originally from Kiev, the band S.N.A.K. now performs in Brno and the surrounding area, and in the live work of singer and author Anna Nedashkovska, she reflects, in addition to universal stories and emotions, the current experience of a family in exile. The band consists of: David Adjei originally from Ghana - vocals, Maksym Martynenko from Ukraine - guitar, Peter Bartko from Slovakia - bass guitar and Konstantin Dailydonis from Russia - drums.

Tapeheads is a band based on the work of musicians who defined the foundations of rock and pop from the 60s to the present. At their concerts you can enjoy interpretations of songs by The Beatles, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Prince and many others. In addition, the band has been dedicated to its own work in recent years, in which it continues the sound of classic Rock, R’n’B, Soul and Funk.

Hana and Petr Ulrych, as the protagonists of the Javory team, have been active on our music scene for decades. What they sing and play has gradually crystallized into a unique musical genre that experts call “Moravian world music”. The Ulrychs were the first pioneers of creatively following Moravian folklore. Their songs contain elements of folk songs and bigbeat, which they started with. They also contain references to Petr’s film and theater music. Together with Hana’s extraordinary singing quality, they offer listeners the culmination of their original musical journey.

18:00 WORKSHOP Pavla Lužná and David Lang + dance hall 20:00 – 22:00 Tangens Band Let yourself be enchanted by the captivating rhythm of Argentine tango in the park on Moravské náměstí! Take part in our dance hall under the leadership of lecturers David and Pavla, who will teach you the basic tango routine together. You can then dance it accompanied by DJ David or a live band. David Lang is the founder of the Argentine tango dance school Tangueros.cz and has been teaching tango for more than 15 years. Pavla Lužná is the owner of the Stolárna dance school, which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year and, in addition to Argentine tango, also brings together salsa, bachata, zouk, kizomba and west coast swing dances under one roof.
