Cotatcha Orchestra & tanec feat. Martin Dvořák a ProART Company
Cotatcha Orchestra & dance feat. Martin Dvořák and ProART Company – a combination of original music, movement and stage in one space all around the audience. The new Cotatcha Orchestra program will be presented as an open air performance on August 11, 2025 at 8:00 PM at the Husa na provázku Theater – courtyard. The new Cotatcha Orchestra concert project connects current original music on the border of genres with modern dance performed by dancers from the ProART group led by Martin Dvořák, known as a dance chameleon with extensive experience from engagements throughout Europe (for example, the English National Opera, Volksoper Wien, Ballet Bern). The performance will be set in the beautiful courtyard of the Husa na provázku Theater and, combined with interactive lighting, promises an extraordinary experience, where the audience will be immersed in the action – surrounded by a big band and dancers moving in the space between them. Cotatcha Orchestra was founded a decade ago by the recent winner of the Anděl Award for Jazz Album of the Year 2024 – trumpeter and composer Jiří Kotača – with the vision of playing fresh and original big band music. Cotatcha Orchestra is a holder of the Czech Jazz Harvest Award and a nomination for the Anděl Award for the album Bigbandová elektronika, which the current author's work loosely follows.

Festival Uprostřed: Dálach
Dálach brings listeners unadulterated Irish traditional music. There is something for everyone in their repertoire. Listening to the captivating melodies of Irish songs, letting your feet move with brisk and energetic instrumental sets of jigs or reels, all of this is suddenly easier than ever before. Dálach does not copy the repertoire or style of famous Irish bands. He creates his own instrumental sets and, above all, in the songs, he lets the creativity of individual band members fully manifest themselves when creating their own arrangements. He often also looks for inspiration in archive recordings and finds among them almost unknown or half-forgotten gems of traditional Irish music.

Alf Carslsson/Jiří Kotača Quartet / OKQ
The recent winner of the Anděl Prize - Alf Carlsson/Jiří Kotača Quartet - is a joint project of Swedish guitarist Alf Carlsson and Czech trumpeter Jiří Kotača. These two award-winning musicians were brought together by their studies in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and six months after their return to their native countries, by Alfa's planned trip to the Czech Republic, which eventually became a short string and then a regular band. The quartet released their highly acclaimed second album Our Stories in 2024. And as leading music journalist Milan Bátor writes: "This album meets the highest standards of the world's active approach to jazz." Their music mixes everything they love, i.e. influences of lyrical Scandinavian music and modern jazz with a pinch of R'n'B, hip hop, pop and rock. All of this, colored by live electronics, creates a unique sound combination of this band, which emphasizes sonic diversity and strong melodies. Alf Carlsson composed music for the Nobel Peace Prize and Jiří Kotača is the recipient of the Anděl Prize and the Czech Jazz Harvest Prize.
