  • We present a new piece by the young Czech composer Michal Nejtek, whose art spans contemporary classical, jazz and rock. The work was commissioned by the Brno Philharmonic at the suggestion of the chief conductor, Dennis Russell Davies ● Brahms’s masterful variations (1873), on the theme of “Chorale St Antoni”, which was adopted from the second movement of Divertimento in B flat major, ascribed to Haydn ● Members of our orchestra perform as soloists for Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante in B flat major, written in 1792 during the composer’s first visit to London in response to similarly-conceived works by Haydn’s rival, Ignaz Pleyel
