Maki Namekawa and Dennis Russell Davies, partners in art and life, have for many years been close friends of the American composer Philip Glass (born 31 January 1937), with whom they also collaborate artistically. Their piano recital will take place on the eve of Glass’s 85th birthday and comprises three works written for the couple.
