INTERFERENCE / EXPOZICE NOVÉ HUDBY

15/06/23, 19:00

The remarkable duo surprises with an extremely wide range of means of expression, unexpected in this cast. Their work is colored by an unusual sound-poetic painting meandering between everyday mundanity and intense emotionality. The composed parts are combined with spheres of free improvisation. To use extended techniques of playing instruments, the authors draw inspiration from European musical traditions and also from the roots of world music. Singer Annabelle Plum uses her voice ranging from soprano to massive contralto in a wide range of timbres. Accordionist Žaneta Vítová finds inspiration in free jazz and contemporary music. Their live performances draw listeners into an unknown world, where feminine fragility is harmoniously combined with unrestrained spontaneity.
