It will be seventy, which is just a number for the orchestra. It is still young, fresh, inspiring. And it loves its young and old listeners, for whom it has prepared magnificent celebrations: it will commemorate important moments from its rich history. Be with us! Our – and your – Philharmonic was “born” on January 1, 1956 and organized its first concert under its own name less than three weeks later. The program included fanfares from Smetana’s Libuše, Janáček’s Taras Bulba and Dvořák’s New World.
