The Orchestral Academy of the Brno Philharmonic (OAFB) is a project that enables young talented musicians – students or recent graduates of music schools accepted on the basis of a selection process – to gain orchestral practice in a professional ensemble. In this way, the Philharmonic trains new generations of players who may one day join its ranks. The OAFB has been operating for six seasons and its fruits are already evident: some of its graduates are already members of our orchestra, others regularly return to help out. The importance and value of this experience for the artistic growth of young musicians and for the future of the orchestra is thus indisputable. In recent seasons, the Mladá krev cycle has gained a large audience, which appreciates the youthfully captivating performances of the performers, the attractive, diverse repertoire and, last but not least, the captivating atmosphere of these concerts, during which the Besední dom hall is intimately lit, atypically set up and the musicians are almost within reach , as the subtitle of the Close Up Music series suggests. During concerts, the barrier of the stage and the evening gown disappear. However, it has already become a tradition that former OAFB members or other guests also perform at Mladá krve concerts.

Jazz Ahmed trumpet, electronics Ralph Wyld vibraphone, marimba, electronics Trumpeter Yazz Ahmed has an interesting background: her mother is British and her father is from Bahrain, the West Asian island where Ahmed spent her childhood until returning to London at the age of nine. She had a musical, jazz and trumpet influence in her family: her maternal grandfather played the same instrument. Talent and diligence led her to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Yazz Ahmed is usually classified as part of the currently very popular, and mainly very progressive scene of young London jazz, made up for the most part of personalities with non-European family and cultural background.

In 2011 he was invited by Gidon Kremer to the Kammermusikfest in Lockenhaus, in 2021 he opened Smetana's Litomyšl as a soloist, in 2024 he was a soloist in the New Year's concert of the Czech Philharmonic. In 2014, he recorded his debut album Violino Solo. Many of his concerts were filmed by Czech Television, Czech Radio or German ARD. He performs in the audiovisual shows Vivaldianno and iMucha. He teaches at the Prague Conservatory and the University of Ostrava. He plays the Joseph Gagliano 1774 Italian instrument.

Saxophonist Will Vinson and pianist Aaron Parks have been meeting in various formations for twenty years. Now the time has come for them to try the most intimate and, according to many musicians, the most difficult thing: the format of just a duo. For his needs, they adapted their older warehouse by and supplement the concert program with classic jazz material, which, however, they present with a highly personal, original contribution. The joint chamber performance of such experienced musicians of the middle jazz generation will undoubtedly be a very powerful experience not only from a purely musical point of view, but also in the sense of perfect mutual communication between creators who have been "listening to each other" for a long time.

Steven Isserlis The legendary British cellist regularly performs concerts with the world's leading symphonic ensembles (Berlin Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, etc.), with chamber orchestras (Scottish, Australian, Zurich, Mahler, and the St Paul Chamber Orchestra) and with ensembles of period instruments (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra).
