Music Marathon Brno 2022 I Beata Bocek

Unmistakable Czech-Polish singer-songwriter and musician from Těšín. This is Beata Bocek, who creates songs about memories, childhood, travels and dreams. Her favorite artistic language is Polish or the Silesian dialect "po naszymu", which is an inimitable mixture of Polish, Slovak, German and Moravian dialects. Sweden, where she lived for the past five years, added to her international profile. The musical classification could be summed up by her quote: "With the guitar I am a folk singer, the accordion brings me back to Těšín, with the ending I feel like a woman of the mountains, the mbira makes me a shaman and the ukulele brings lightness and memories of traveling."
