The Brno band Nevermore & Kosmonaut is a formation that was formed around the songwriter and author Michal Šimíček, who performs under his internet nickname Kosmonaut. The band consists of guitarist Pavel Karas, bassist Vít Sklenář, drummer Vladimír Třebický and as guest drummer Radim Grünwald. The lyrics are in Czech and all the music is original.

In 2014, Nevermore & Cosmonaut released their first official album "Between the Planets". For the second studio album "Bleděmodré město" (2018), which is inspired by Brno, the band was nominated for the prestigious Anděl music award in the Folk category. In the same year, Cosmonaut received the "For the Beauty of the Word" award for the lyrics on this album. The third album was released in 2020 under the title "XCR-9" with the subtitle "Songs to the Rocket" and relates to the group's planned fictional journey into space.

In the past, the band participated in the finals of a number of music competitions (from the folk Porty to the rock Hatchery), performed at a diverse range of genre festivals and their songs from both albums appear on the radio. The group's live concerts or recordings took place, for example, on TV Noe (shows Cvrlikání, Mezi pražci), broadcast by Slovak radio Devín (Folkfórum live), like Proglas (How do you like it?), On the waves of Country radio or on regional stations of Czech Radio. .
