Metronomy (UK)

The British formation was founded in 1999 by Joseph Mount and, together with other musicians, released six successful albums, which made Metronomy a stand on the independent scene. On a just-released full-length recording, Mount addresses the issue of the passage of time. He asks himself whether the feelings of happiness and contentment in life do not suppress his creativity and finds that the opposite is true. "We are accurate, predictable and consistent as a metronome. We are constantly going back to the beginning and as matadors we are competing with relentless time, "say Metronomy.
