...or how a Czech chant is made according to a Hussite recipe
Do you know what chants sound like in Old Czech? The music collection from the beginning of the 15th century, which according to the place of discovery is called Jistebnická, arose from the desire to understand what I sing and what I believe in. Instead of Latin, free-spirited authors gave Czech texts to old chants. They wanted to arouse a desire for a personal and distinctive relationship with Christ. The Jistebnice cancional thus became the first collection of liturgical songs in the national language in the Europe of Western Christianity. This message of spiritual progressivity is conveyed to us by the trained voices of beautiful women.
