in SPYDER Křižan was born in Brno. He emigrated from the former Czechoslovakia to the USA.
The guitar enchanted him at the age of eight and it became a lifelong love. The first and fundamental influence on him was a Roma guitar virtuoso
Janos.
In Germany, Ivo won an audition for the position of solo guitar in the musicals HAIR and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. At HAIR, he met Donna Gates Summer, who later hired him as a studio guitarist for her R&B recordings. He also performed with Scottish band Middle Of The Road and jammed for 5 hours with Deep Purple
after their Munich concert at Cirkus Krone.
He toured with Udo Jurgens before flying to the US.
In the USA he spent 8 years playing only in black groups and became famous as the first white and European! guitarist in all-black bands.
He was involved with the Hells Angels and his stay and work in the state of Texas
considers it one of the special chapters of his musical school of life.
