Brazilian Jazz – Familia Pádua

"Brazilian Jazz" is another work by the musical group Família Pádua, which values
Brazilian cultural diversity with the interpretation of songs from the Brazilian Jazz
repertoire as well as original compositions. The project aims to transmit a modern and
universal language, musical elements of Latin American culture and its connection with
the European musical tradition, the contrast between modernity and tradition,
sophistication and simplicity, presenting and disseminating the most authentic genres
with a contemporary look. Through the work of the composer, arranger and multi-
instrumentalist Antônio de Pádua, his wife Roberta Karin, a singer and percussionist who
promotes Brazilian rhythms in Europe, their son, the virtuoso flutist João Vitor and
Daniel Mesquita on the guitar. The project propagates the cultural diversity of Brazil and
Latin America, emphasizing that they come from a multicultural country with several
acculturated rhythms such as choro, jazz, MPB, tango, salsa. These rhythms are part of
the repertoire and offer the audience a show full of nuances, interactivity and cultural
enrichment.
