Oravec-Korman-Spilka-Ševčík + Jam Session

Trio Oravec-Korman-Spilka is a band that plays straightforward jazz with a minimum of means of expression, but with maximum efficiency and energy. For this occasion, the band will be expanded by Marian Ševčík, a drummer par excellence, whose reliable services are used by a number of Slovak and Czech leaders. In addition, Ševčík works as a pedagogue at the Jazz Department of JAMU in Brno, which naturally ties him to the Brno jazz scene, where the rest of the band performs regularly. The lower frequencies are taken care of by Peter Korman, a rhythmically infallible and melodically inventive double bassist, a permanent member of David Dorůžka's trio or the Cotatcha Orchestra. The harmonic content is provided by guitarist Vilém Spilka, who is also the bandleader of his own quartet, which has already collected two nominations for the Anděl award. Lukáš Oravec, a Slovak talent living in South Moravia, will perform on trumpet and flugelhorn. He belongs to the absolute top of Slovak jazz and as a bandleader he has completed a number of award-winning projects of various sizes with guest foreign artists.
