FLOWERS PLAY DOG SOLDIERS

After Filip Topol's death, Květy was asked by his manager, Romek Hanzlík, to rearrange the songs of Dog Soldiers. We played them at Filip's birthday concerts for many years. Later on various special occasions. A limited load of vinyls was also released, which was immediately dismantled. We play songs from different periods, from hits to minimalist things, mostly in heavily original arrangements.

The FLOWERS group has existed since the beginning of this millennium. Her sound changed significantly throughout. Starting in 2016, he plays in a new line-up, focusing more on electronics. Although experimental and searchable, the number of its listeners has grown to a very wide range. Strong texts, arranging colors, brilliant artistic solutions of the album covers, elemental concerts and the presence of humor are appreciated. For the album Květy, Květy, which was released at the end of 2020, they were nominated for the Vinyl and Apollo Award.

BOO

One of the most original Czech rock bands Boo, which operated between 1998 and 2010, not only returns to its fans, but also hopes for younger listeners in the hope of success. Through the Bandcamp platform, he is currently releasing his first, current situation-inspired single, Lockdown Dance. The Boo group returns in their most famous line-up, although each of the four members currently lives in a different country.

Boo was founded in 1998 by guitarist Josef Ostřanský, one of the legendary personalities of the Brno alternative scene, known especially from the groups Danube and E. He invited his partner from the Danube and the former rhythmic support of your , which only a year later founded the phenomenal duo Tara Fuki with Dorota Barová, and called in Austria a multi-instrumentalist, singer and ardent frontman Christoph Pajer. Boo released two albums in the strongest line-up: Boo (1999) and Listen (2002). In their repertoire, they not only managed to continue the tradition of the best of the Brno alternative, but also significantly modernize the music, make it distinctive, thanks to the original composition (Andreino cello and Christoph's violin, both used in a rock context) also often very unusual.

After a break of almost ten years, Boo decided to resume their activities last summer. After the first joint rehearsals, all members drove to their current homes in four European countries, and the covid lockdown forced them to completely change the way they worked. "Andrea sends her parts from France, Pepa grinds a guitar from Sofia, Christoph plays and sings from Austria and I still haven't pulled my heels and I'm recording at a cottage in the Czech Republic," Pavel Koudelka calculates. "I never knew that it would be possible to compose music like this at a distance and with such joy and a sense of belonging without physical contact. It's possible, even though Andrea and I are going through an intense adventure at the age of learning to record on a computer with the help of Pep's phone lessons. ”This is how the first new joint song, Lockdown Dance, was created. "A year ago, they locked up our culture and, in fact, everything that's fun. What's left for us to do at home? The song Lockdown Dance intends to increase optimism a bit. At least we can dance, even with headphones and ourselves. And a little resignation dances with us, because the end is not yet visible, "Christoph Pajer adds a mixture of optimism and sadness.
