THE VIOLETS

One of the most famous Czech punk rock bands today, singing in their mother tongue. The Fialky on their recordings and their image clearly refer to the first wave of the so-called punk77 bands, but live they are a wild rather streetpunk ride. But the main musical inspirations here always remain the bands Ramones, Cock Sparrer and the Vibrators. Lyrically, the original concept of beer punk was replaced by a current position appealing to perspective and common sense, life in the city and the union of punks and traditional skinheads. The Fialky have been playing since 2000, but their era only started in 2006, when they became one of the flagships of the homegrown, agile, label PHR Records. Where they have so far released three LPs, three seven-inches and a compilation of hits. The band also stood at the beginning of the vinyl boom in the Czech Republic, which, among other things, started their successful first seven-inch SCÉNA z rock 2010. The Fialky have been playing 60 concerts a year for more than ten years, and in addition to their homeland, they also successfully perform concerts in Slovakia and Poland. After the original beginnings in Squats, today the group is not missing from any of the programs of established domestic clubs and performs not only at all domestic punk festivals, but also at a number of large rock events. There are a lot of rumors and funny stories surrounding the band, but one thing is clear: They are a respected figure in the domestic punk scene, with a great chance to impress beyond it. https://www.facebook.com/thefialky

MUSHROOM

The band Houba was formed in 1995 on the ruins of the grind/punk band SRPŠ (http://www.bandzone.cz/srps). As early as 1996, Houba played more than 20 concerts and a year later recorded the first recording "Fičící Pes" (1997). The second demo followed in the same year ("Hnus fialovej") and the band went on a full tour of the Czech Republic. In 1999, the record "Pan Káč" was released, the first recorded in the Pilsen studio AVIK.

The band remains faithful to this studio for the next 20 years - "Kuře Punk Pao" (2000), "Let it Scream" (2002), "Houba/Leniwiec – Crazy Bros" (2004, also published in Poland by Pasažer Rec.), "10 years of punk rock in Ústí pod Labem" (2005), "U Šílena Nesersrny" (2007), "Split CD with Punk Floyd" (2010) and Príšel čas (with singer-songwriter Tom77, 2012), Singl2013 (2014) and so far the last album Niče I don't regret (2019), which the band finished with Paul Miner in the California studio Buzzbomb. During its existence, Houba played more than 1,200 live performances not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus and the USA. She sold a total of more than 10,000 records. They played at all important Czech festivals (Rock For People, Trutnov Open Air, Mighty Sounds festival and others). https://www.facebook.com/houbacz/
