HOTHOUSE
Hothouse is a five-member musical group currently based in Prague. Their work is influenced by jazz, no wave, punk and post-punk. With extensive, albeit fragmented and often brisk instrumentals, they create a vast and enveloping atmosphere that portrays and sets the scene for the events, in which environment the vocalist finds himself as the protagonist. The insatiable and animalistic speech, sounding as if he would give everything that is with his absolute word, sometimes turns into vocal lines that bear audible signs of fatigue, defeat and almost whimper, as if on the contrary they admit their own nothingness and being crushed by the world. They released this year's EP called Light Was Brighter on Korobushka records.
