HOUSE PLANTS (PT)

Formed in 2020, the indie rock group Hause Plants is the result of teenage years spent in nightclubs and bars full of live music and indie rock bands.

Growing up, they were influenced by The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs or The Rapture and the cool kids in Bairro Alto and Graça (hipster districts of Lisbon nightlife). They wore leather jackets, skinny jeans and sang their favorite Arctic Monkeys. And so they shaped the city's thriving DIY scene, of which Hause Plants members were a part.

Made up of Guilherme Machado Correia, João Nunes da Silva, Dani Royo and João Simões, the Brooklyn-based Lisbon band is set on pioneering the modern take on the music they grew up with. While the band finds influence in the classic indie rock bands they grew up listening to, their inspiration comes from more contemporary artists who, like them, are ready to reinvent guitar music in the 21st century. Think Nilüfer Yanya, Tomberlin, Wet Leg, Turnstile and The Garden.

Bare Escape

Bare Escape is an alternative indie-rock quartet from Brno, releasing on Kabinet Records. The members include familiar faces from the bands VDYD, Ette Enaka and Metronome Blues. They will take you on a nice emo and indie ride through the nineties.

BREN

A mixture of dark and urgent moments moving between slowcore, no wave and shoegaze. The project arose from the friendship of Ivo Lorenz (Science Killer, Beps'n'Johnnies) and Šimon Podrazil (tryo), with the urge to write songs with Czech lyrics, originally without the ambition of playing live. Creation gradually began to function as therapy, and over time it was possible to expand the joint sessions with Vojtěch Škuta and Lukáš Nedomlel. The songs became denser and this created a mixture of dark and urgent moments moving between slowcore, no wave and shoegaze, which in combination with the Czech language creates a unique whole in which the influences of performers such as Slowdive, Jay Jay, Swans or Nick Cave can be felt.
