Singer Marie Puttnerová, moving around the Czech music scene in the original lineups Jablkoň, Půljabkoň and Zvíře namé Podzim, and Martin Novák (Robert Křestťan & Druhá tráva, Lanugo, Blue Shadows, Jaromír Honzák Quintet, Baromantika, David Dorůžka Trio) joined forces to create a common musical world formed not only by Puttnerová's original songs, but also a world in which fragments of the poetry of the fragile Jan Zahradníček or the surreal Vlastimil Třešňák can be heard. After inviting the Opava guitar wizard Petar Uvira (Ladě, Heimat, Jitka Šuranská, Vladivojna la Chia) to collaborate, there was a joint symbiosis of human voices and electric guitars that pushed the imaginary boundaries of folk in a captivating and urgent way.
However, in 2022 there was a crucial connection with the British producer Eddie Stevens (Druhá trava, Jana Kirschner, Roisín Murphy, Moloko), thanks to which Puttnerová's debut album entitled Laila tov will be released on April 21, 2023. They approached him mainly with the idea of another artistic shift, of which Stevens is a guaranteed guarantor. The original sound of the trio really changed with the joint creation, and so the band expands with a fourth member, composer, pianist and synthesizer player, Martin Brunner (Martin Brunner Trio, The Prague Six, Markéta Foukalová, Klara & The Pop, Lenka Dusilová, Beata Hlavenková ).
Immediately after the release of the album, on April 26, 2023, its first christening will take place, in the Brno Cabinet of Muses. The guest and godfather will be the exceptional Horňácká muzika of Petr Mička, a group representing the authentic form of the folklore of the Horňák. Visitors can look forward to the musical intersection of both ensembles. The unique visual artist Linda Arbanová will accompany the baptism with her projections.
