MESSA (IT)
The Italian band MESSA is currently one of the hottest names in the current global metal scene. Their work mixes genres such as prog, black metal, punk, dark ambient, jazz, blues or doom. Their last year's album Close, released on Svart Records, garnered worldwide success and awards (e.g. Metal Injection or Spin). This was followed by a sold-out tour and another participation at the famous Roadburn festival, where the band recorded a special set with an extended line-up, which will be released in April 2023. Messa will also come to Brno in an exclusive extended line-up.

Šimansky Niesner
The evening will be opened by Jakub Šimanský and Tomáš Niesner, anchored in Brno. In their work, the pair of guitarists is based on the so-called American primitivism and enriches it with Czech country/folk romanticism. American primitivism has its origins in the bluegrass tradition of the American South, but found an unconventional approach to tuning, rhythmicity, and mantric repetitiveness in Asian spiritual music.
