From the mid-seventies until today, musicians around saxophonist Jay Beckenstein have been entertaining themselves and their listeners with energetic and imaginative music, initially inspired by Joe Zawinul and Chick Corea, but gradually crystallizing into her own distinctive style with elements of funk and Latin. The virtuoso instrumental performances of all the players and the effective, accessible, yet distinct jazz themes have turned many laymen into dedicated jazz fans over more than forty years. The proof is more than five thousand performed concerts and 32 regular albums, which together sold over ten million units.
