The Backwards is a Slovak revival band imitating the Beatles. It was founded in 1995 in Košice in eastern Slovakia. The band is known for their attention to detail, which earned them 1st place at the world's most prestigious Beatles revival festival, New York Beatlefest, in 1998 and in 2003 when they came to defend their title. They won awards for both the best sound and the best image.
Today, this band is known both in Europe and in the United States, where they played concerts in the largest cities of twenty-three countries.
