The dance group DEKKADANCERS has recently increased its artistic activity and one of the products of the past year is the production Transformation. As is typical for this ensemble, they grasped Franz Kafka's first film in an original way. Choreographers Ondřej Vinklát, excelling in the lead role, and Štěpán Pechar, directed by Štěpán Benyovszky, created a dance grotesque that alternates tragicomics, caricatures and real moments of despair in a balanced way. The transfer of Kafka's short story to the stage life is significantly helped by the artistic side of the performance and the accompanying voice of Jiří Lábus, which completes the plot with quotes from the short story or a sensitively mixed musical collage in the jazz spirit.
