We started in the seventies and we are still here in the seventies… The founders and protagonists of Folk Team will celebrate their seventies in 2025. The band was formed in 1973, founded by Roman Venclovský, Pavel Kopřiva and Tomáš Úlehla. In the pre-revolutionary period, they played folk in an acoustic "garb" using violin, flute and cello, received two author's Ports and became a sought-after group, especially in clubs throughout the country. The band's distinguishing features are primarily the poetic lyrics of Ivan Huvar, who became a member of the band in 1980, and the expressive singing of Roman Venclovský and elaborate musical arrangements. After 1989, the band was electrified, rhythmic elements arrived, i.e. bass guitar and drums players, and the band shifted to folk rock in genre. The turning point in their work was the CD "Velký prachy" from 2000 and later "Nebudu" from 2012. Songs such as Skála, Nadčlověk, Opilej anděl became an integral part of the playlist of genre radios.
Szidi Tobias sings from the heart what is both expressed and hidden in the words of her husband Petr Lipovský. As she says about herself: "At concerts, I am myself and the team I want to be. Hymns and psalms about love, hope and joy. The one who understands gives us the most." In the music of Milan Vyskočáni, there is a playfulness of melodic transformations and a surprising diversity of genres. Blues, folk, jazz and chanson. Jewish crying, gypsy laughter, Hungarian passion and tenderness. The composition of music is a challenge for the band, which holds them together not only in the notes, but also in the energizing joy of playing together for many years. For decades, they traveled together throughout Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia. They went to their fans from Karlovy Vary to Kráľovský Chlmec to bring people together, to find ancient truths in the words of Petr Lipovský at concerts, to hear the diverse music of Milan Vyskočáni and the soulful singing of Szidi. Lyrics and music are what hold together "like water to flour."
The series of concerts by Tomáš Klus and the Target Group will do their best to make the Advent season more enjoyable. In addition to purely Christmas songs, which you could count on the fingers of one hand :-), we will bring you a verbal-musical show full of twists, clashes and comic insights at the highest level.

Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers are engaged in authentic interpretation of popular music of the early and peak swing period from the early thirties to the early forties. The varied repertoire includes attractive compositions of a wide genre spectrum, sweet and hot, from Hollywood musicals to the top numbers of swing big bands.
We cordially invite you to an unconventional evening divided into two theater scenes. The first will be dedicated to tender and less dramatic things. The second scene after the intermission will offer flying classics spiced up with an unusual genius loci.
If you want to say goodbye to 2025 with humor and elegance, we can recommend the New Year's Eve program at the Janáček Theatre. The National Theatre Ballet has prepared a special New Year's Eve program for you - a slightly different Nutcracker, or New Year's Eve without the Nutcracker. Choreographer Markéta Pimek Habalová has already prepared the extremely successful Cinderella ballet for the NdB Ballet, which has entertained and moved entire families not only here, but also in China or Finland. She has recast the classic ballet pearl Swan Lake into a humorous version, and at the end of 2023 we presented her distinctive, light-hearted vision of the Nutcracker. You can look forward to Tchaikovsky's music, traditional and unconventional costumes, and above all, lots of unexpected funny scenes.
A unique concert by Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere, eleven-time winner of the Anděl Award in the categories Singer of the Year and Singer of the Quarter Century, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of their debut eponymous album! As part of the tour called Silver Wedding, the standard lineup of the Illustratosphere group will be specially expanded by the duo Lash & Grey with singer Kristína Mihaľová, rising stars on the domestic and Slovak music scene.
