Hey, master, get up, you bright one! You keep an eye on the beauty, at this time of night: Do you build a Bethlehem at home for Christmas? And are there also figures of shepherds in it, who carry gifts to the newborn Jesus? That is exactly what the teacher Jakub Jan Ryba wrote a beautiful mass about long ago. About how the shepherds heard the singing of angels, saw the glow in the sky and set off for Bethlehem. And because they were poor, they presented the baby Jesus with the best they had – music. Let us embark on this joyful pilgrimage with them this year and bow to the one who gave light to the world.
