JWQ (Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet)

05/07/22, 20:00

WQ is an acoustic quartet combining improvised music with compositions from the workshop of both wind instruments. The quartet was originally fundamentally influenced by the New York jazz downtown (Sex Mob, Medeski-Martin-Wood, Bobby Previte, Ray Anderson, Marty Ehlrich), over time this direct inspiration has partially disappeared and the quartet has become an ensemble stealing from so many sources to shame. The songs are eclectic, the music draws on various jazz and other traditions, everything is connected by total improvisation.
