Malina brothers, banjo player Luboš (Druhá tráva), guitarst Pavel and violinist Josef, came together and form a unique project called Malina Brothers, they also invited double bas player Pavlel Peroutka (Spirituál kvintet). Za několik dekád se objevili jako hudebníci či producenti snad na všech důležitých albech tohoto žánru u nás. They collaborated with Robert Křesťan, Pavel Bobek, Věra Martinová, Wabi Daňek etc. They have had several concerts in the USA, released three CDs and are preparing a DVD with a songbook to celebrate 10 years of the band's existence. Exclusive concert at the SONO Center in Brno will be attended by two outstanding guests, Charlie McCoy and Kateřina Garcia, who have performed on the last two albums of the band.

 

Charlie McCoy, without exaggeration, known as the world's most famous harmonica player, made so many hits with such legends as Elvis Presley, Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Kris Kristofferson, Ringo Starr and many others. In his life he released more than 25 solo albums, winning many awards (Grammy in the year. 1972 instrumentalist of the year ...).

 

Kateřina García Czech singer - Spanish origin (also the great-granddaughter of Alfons Mucha) since 2001 collaborates with Luboš Malina. The two albums of their joint project, Garcia, have been nominated for Anděl. In addition, she worked with a number of musicians across musical genres (Robert Křesťan a Druhá Tráva, Pavel Bobek, Steve Walsh, Alan Doherty, etc.). Kateřina is a Hispanist and is currently lecturing at the Department of Hispanic Studies, Trinity College Dublin.
