Flying rabbi, klezmer
Ancient and charming melodies of a Jewish wedding, as well as unique songs in the Yiddish language. The Flying Rabbi is a five-member ensemble playing klezmer - the traditional instrumental music of Eastern European Jews, which experienced its greatest prosperity at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The starting point of his work is a traditional sound and folkloristic approach, the goal is contemporary and timeless music. In his work, the instrumental klezmer is intertwined with songs in Yiddish and other languages, for which the band creates their own lyrics by translation, which, faithful to the tradition of Yiddish folklore, sparkly reflect our time. The band has performed (since its founding in 2001) hundreds of concerts throughout the Czech Republic and performed in Europe, the USA and Morocco.
