Jiří Pavlica & Hradišťan is a unique musical group with an unusually wide range of genres. Since 1978, Hradišťan has been led by a creative personality - violinist and composer Jiří Pavlica, under whose leadership the band has gained wide fame. The current repertoire is dominated by Jiří Pavlica's original work, which works mainly with the legacy of folk tradition and its philosophical overlap, but does not shy away from historical themes. He crosses the boundaries of musical genres and collaborates with personalities from various cultures around the world. Hradišťan is a frequent guest at domestic and foreign festivals of traditional, alternative, and classical music. He collaborates with radio, television, and film, has given concerts on 4 continents, recorded more than 30 major sound carriers, and has collaborated on many others. In addition to Jiří Pavlica, regular soloists include Alice Holubová and David Burda. The way of working, dramaturgy and artistic level rank the Hradišťany among the original and unmistakable ensembles of the Czech and international music scene.
