Charismatic singer with an unmistakable voice Václav Noid Bárta will perform his Christmas concert in Brno! Over the years, he has collaborated as a composer, arranger and singer in the field of popular and rock music, for example with Lucie Bíla, Bára Basiková, Helena Vondráčková, Kamil Střihavka, Lucie Vondráčková and others. He is a leading soloist of the Karlín Music Theatre, where he excelled in the musicals Carmen, Aida, Lucie, The Addams Family, Bonnie and Clyde, Jesus Christ Superstar and Sister in Action.

The Old and New concert will feature compositions by contemporary Brno composers, written for the Musica Poetica ensemble and Ensemble Frizzante. CITY OF CATERPILLAR (USA, Level Plane / Relapse Rec.) At the beginning of the millennium, City Of Caterpillar, together with screamo bands such as Pg. 99 (with whom they are also connected by mutual members), Majority Rule, Planes Mistaken For Stars and others, moved hardcore into previously unexplored territories. LA PROSPÉRITÉ The domestic guest of the evening will be La Prospérité from Hradec Králové, who have started moving again after years! KOMBI João Kombi - is a Brazilian musician and producer who has been active on the Brazilian independent scene since the 90s. In addition to his work in the band TEST, with which he played over 1,000 concerts in 28 countries, he is also dedicated to his solo experimental drone project Kombi.

The autumn concert is in the spirit of the beautiful tradition of our opera company, which is the performance of large vocal-instrumental works, where the great choir and orchestra of Janáček's opera NdB can present themselves outside their classical opera repertoire. This time, it will be conducted by the new chief conductor Robert Kružík, and the evening will belong to one of Antonín Dvořák's exceptional works. His Requiem is one of the most beautiful arrangements of this mass for the dead, although in this case Antonín Dvořák was not inspired by death, but by a much more prosaic reason - the work was commissioned by a music festival in Birmingham, England, and it was Dvořák's London publisher who suggested the mass for the dead. Dvořák therefore conceived it more as a reflection and assessment of the past half century of his life and at the same time as an expression of his relationship with God. The Requiem, divided into two parts, is one of Dvořák's most profound works. Freed from external pomp and composed in a form without closed musical numbers, it is a confession of the composer's view of death.

The Young Gods (CH)

Legendary Swiss industrial-rockers The Young Gods return with their 14th studio album, Appear Disappear, due out in June 2025 on Two Gentlemen. On this occasion, the trio, who are celebrating 40 years of their career this year, announce a highly anticipated European tour, which will include The Young Gods at Fleda on November 12th. The band Springtime has been around since the 1980s. Its repertoire includes mainly folk and non-folk classics from the 60s and 70s, such as Peter, Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver or Creedence Clearwater Revival, and even the Beatles or Smokie. It sings mainly in English, but at concerts it also performs Czech in songs by Brontosaurs, Rangers and other Czech performers.

A special concert by violinist Pavel Šporcl, accompanied by a rock band that recorded his current album REBEL WITH THE BLUE VIOLIN with him. American jazz pianist and Hammond organ player Brian Charette participated in the recordings. Etno Brno 2025 A fusion of traditional African drums, bass, saxophone and clarinet. The band was formed in early summer 2020 and the Kumpáni combined their experience with African drumming, alternative rock and jazz. Shivanam (CZ/NZ) Shivanam are influenced by ethnic Persian and Indian classical music, Latin American, African and Australian rhythms. They have been riding the wave of dub, tribal, ritual, trance, psychedelic for 28 years.

Bounty na Leitnerku is the return of a popular tramp and folk band. Their original instrumental talent together with colorful polyphonic vocals is appreciated not only by festival visitors and their juries, but also by ordinary people around the tramp fires where they came from. Terrakota is a Central Bohemian to Prague band of enthusiastic musicians. The band was formed at the end of 2016. In terms of genre, it falls into the categories of folk-rock, folk and country, playing songs that are purely original…

After the release of his fifth studio album, Tažní ptáci, Lipo is embarking on a club tour, where his authentic signature combines with a live band and a new, more musically mature sound. Support: Adam Vopička – an exceptional singer-songwriter and producer, known from the Calm Season project and collaborations with a number of prominent performers, will bring his raw poetic debut Gral to the stages. Adam Mišík is going on another tour, this time called There is Beauty in Chaos, which will start in the fall of 2025. You can look forward to a show full of well-known hits and completely new songs on November 7, 2025 at S-klub in Olomouc and on November 13 at Fléda in Brno! The entire tour will end in the spring of 2026 at Prague's Forum Karlín, which will be the end of this musical journey!

ConTRIOlogy, together with Tomáš Vtípil, combines folk lyrics and modernity. At Leitnerka, they will present their latest album Minulo – which is a fusion of traditional inspiration and modern form. The group is inspired by folk songs collected by Leoš Janáček in the cycle Moravian Folk Poetry in Songs. The trio combines folk tunes with their own compositional approach and improvisation. This creates a fluid musical range full of timbres and sound surfaces with a distinct emotional coloration. Individual compositions preserve the simplicity and naturalness of folk songs, which are permeated by a strong element of improvisation and sonority. The entire range is sensitively permeated by the electronics of Tomáš Vtípil, who was involved in the work both as an arranger and as an instrument.

BELLA – is already a concept and their combination of black metal, post-rock and Slovak folklore makes the band a strong darkly melancholic cocktail, whose every performance is a ritual. MÄRNØ – Neocrust blood, where spontaneity, emotions, depth and pressure are combined, all under the influence of crust, hardcore, d-beat and sometimes black metal. The new album Via Incognita is pressurized like a steamer. MACOCHA – Dark, deep and raw like the biggest abyss in Europe. Heavy-duty blackened sludge with a death metal HM-2 sound will pull you along. RANA – Post-metal, neocrust and emo hardcore with members of Udande, Adacta or Distax. Expect a real attack on feelings and emotions, their concert is an intense experience.

On one stage: Elektrïck Mann – a raw powerhouse, a rap-punk salvo without mercy. Nikola Mucha – the uncompromising voice of a generation that doesn't give a f*ck about anything or anyone.

Brno singer-songwriter, lyricist, Moravian voice of BEAT radio, founding member of the Brno bands Lidopop and Zadáci, author of lyrics on the album Tulák po hvězdách by the Brno legend Progres 2, author of songs for B Side band, author of lyrics for the band Škaredá holka, author of several theater performances for children, on which he collaborated, for example, with Petr Skoumal, presenter of music festivals. The accompaniment to the songs is created right in front of the eyes and ears of the amazed audience on a device called a looper.

That's something Finnish rockers The Rasmus have been doing since their major label debut, and they take this creative responsibility very seriously. This has made them one of Finland's biggest musical exports, selling millions of records worldwide and winning countless awards.

Yasha 96 Jáchym Kovář started making music at the age of thirteen, as a dubstep producer with the nickname Dubstract. Together with Robert Kříž, he founded the synthpop DIY group JayRõ within his own community label Oddity Records. The dreamy solo debut was created over 5 years in Berlin and Prague under the producer supervision of musician Nèro Scartch, a member of the Prague electropop band MYDY. “I’ve known Nèro for a really long time. He’s one of the important people in my life and I value him not only as a musician and producer, but above all as a friend. I wanted to make the album with him because it’s very sensitive and personal for me. Nèro knows who I am and the stories the songs tell,” explains Jáchym Kovář. Rondeveu Rondeveu is a solo project from Berlin, created by an up-and-coming artist influenced by the post-punk scene and alternative rock of the early 21st century. Verdi's Aida is one of his masterpieces, which contains none of the guaranteed ingredients of a romantic Italian opera - love, jealousy, political intrigue, large choral scenes and inevitable tragic death. Of course, this also includes a great singing cast, in this case Csilla Boross, Sung Kyu Park, Luis Cansino, Aleš Jenis and others. This will also be the first time that our company will collaborate with our junior ballet company NdB2 on this production. It was Verdi who usually chose the themes to be set to music, but in this case the offer came from outside. The opera was originally commissioned by the Egyptian viceroy Isma´il Pasha for the opening ceremonies of the Suez Canal and for the newly built Cairo Opera House. The productions usually focus on the secret lovers Radames and Aida, but what if we looked at the whole story through the eyes of Amneris, whose love for Radames is determined to win her at any cost, unaware that the price will ultimately be human lives, including the life of her chosen one?

The musical was based on the legendary film Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe. It is unbelievable, but the aforementioned film was first screened almost sixty years ago, in 1959. The musical of the same name then achieved extraordinary success worldwide, and in December 2008 it was brought to the stage of the Municipal Theatre in Ljubljana, Slovenia, by director Stanislav Moša. He has now also taken on the direction of the production in our theatre. Two poor musicians accidentally get caught up in a war between mafia gangs. They are being hunted and have no choice but to hide safely. They change into women's clothes and get hired by a band going on tour to Miami Beach. Florida becomes a unique opportunity for the homeless musicians to disappear from the mafia's sight... However, their crazy adventure is far from over! Thanks to their disguises, they experience countless comical situations, and to top it all off, both of our heroes fall in love with a magical singer and ukulele player named Sugar.

Director Stanislav Moša has staged Nezval's text for the second time, the first time in 1995, when the theatre celebrated its fiftieth anniversary with this production in the newly renovated hall on Lidická Street. At that time, the director and manager wrote about Nezval's text: "There is little Czech theatre literature that can be said to be a poem. Through it speaks a true passion bound by an amazing form enchanted in the beauty of the Czech language." Moša's adaptation of Manon Lescaut, which was subtitled "lyrical drama-confession", broke away from the linear narrative of the well-known story and created a timeless parable. The old abbé des Grieux recalls his fateful relationship with a sinful saint, which gives the originally lyrical story dramatic dimensions and brings to life long-ago secrets, hints and loves in the memories of a man at the end of his life.

UNWOUND (USA) The band that defined the post-hardcore sound of the 90s is returning to the stage after more than two decades! Born in 1991 during the Riot Grrrl and grunge boom, Unwound shone from the brightest corner of the underground with their biting and experimental spirit. As one of the key names of the Kill Rock Stars label, they completely changed the rules of the game with the album Future of What. During their ten-year existence, the band also released their material on iconic labels such as Gravity, Troubleman Unlimited and Matador, before going silent in 2002. FVTVRE Echoes of the early “San Diego sound” with members of Sunshine, Clou, 50m Znak and others. The mutual chemistry of four charismatic figures creates a poisonous noise-punk cocktail.

Slovak punk rock legend Davová Psychoza, who has been on the scene for 38 years, is going on a club tour in autumn 2025 after three years. One of the most inspiring bands to emerge from the Czech-Slovak punk incubator is returning to Brno on November 17, 2025 to the Kabinet MÚZ club! Travex is a young band from Bratislava that keeps their ears tickling with tricky punk. Vocals that cut through the air, fast guitar riffs and drums more precise than atomic clocks. All this is complemented by songs by the band Problém 5.

Dub Pistols grew out of the big beat explosion of the mid-nineties. A reaction to the formulaic house music, where thanks to the wonders of sampling technology they could incorporate literally anything into a dance tune. Inspired by the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, Barry Ashworth and Jason O'Bryan began creating dense beats and their bombastic single "There's Gonna Be A Riot" was signed to Concrete Records, a subsidiary of DeConstruction. Their debut album Point Blank was released in 1998 and other recordings were not long in coming.
