Experience Villa Tugendhat like never before! This Brno icon will come alive with the "Light Up Tugendhat" light show, the grand finale of this year’s celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

For this occasion, the villa’s garden will visually merge with the neighboring gardens of Villa Löw-Beer and Villa Arnold. Over the course of three days and nights, the area will transform into a space filled with art, light, and creativity.

The final concert of the Brno Music Marathon will be performed by the international Saiyuki Trio, the festival's resident artist, guitarist Nguyên Lê, koto player Mieko Miyazaki and tabla virtuoso Prabhu Edouard. The project is based on the motifs of the classic 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West (known in our country as The Monkey King) and connects Japanese, Indian and Vietnamese musical traditions with jazz and improvisation. The trio works with acoustic instruments, electronics and elements of contemporary world music.

The Prague Cello Quartet will perform at Špilberk in the main courtyard on August 10, 2026 from 7:00 PM.

It is well known that Adam Plachetka has recently enjoyed stepping beyond the boundaries of the classical music world to venture into musical territories he had not previously explored. Many have surely taken note of his projects involving musicals and operettas. It must be said that he approaches these excursions into genres outside of opera as a consummate professional—fully informed, deeply committed, and brimming with creative inventiveness.

The popular MISSIO is returning to the Czech Republic with two solo shows! With their upcoming album Love & Heartbreak, they will take over the Brno Kabinet MÚZ on August 14, 2026 and the Prague Cargo Gallery on August 20, 2026. MISSIO was founded in 2014 by Matthew Brue (singer, songwriter, producer) and David Butler (songwriter, producer) and since then they have released five studio albums. However, if you wanted to put their work in one box, it is almost impossible. Their range ranges from electronic to rock to indie and hip hop. They achieved success with the singles Everybody Gets High and Twisted, which became gold. In 2024, they scored another hit, the single Good Vibrations, on whose remixed version Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit took up the guitar.

The cult rock band, founded in 1976 by keyboardist and singer Michael Kocáb, has had a major impact on the domestic music scene, primarily with its new wave aesthetic, satirical lyrics and virtuoso performances. A street scumbag who sucks a song into his bone-chilling gears and grinds it into a form that resembles the roar coming from a suspicious place after closing time. We guarantee street bravado and café sentiment! The Urband music group was formed around 2002 in Brno from various improvised groups performing street music in the Czech Republic and across Europe. A Jewish selection, but also a mix of Russian songs, jazz, waltz, tango and blues will be played by Tomáš Vtípil, Vladimír Červenka and Pavel Všianský.

Masaryk University invites you to its traditional end-of-summer concert, featuring jazz guitar legend Milan Kašuba and his guests.

Titled "When the Strings of Life Resonate," the concert will offer a delightful summer evening experience on Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM in the covered atrium of the Orlí Street Theatre.

End of summer at U Sosny. To mark the end of the summer holidays, the U Sosny garden has organized a concert featuring YBCA and Purple Rainbow.

Founded by singer and trumpeter Yael Gat, Folkadu invites listeners to experience the magic of Jewish music. The unique combination of singing, oud, accordion, trumpet and shofar creates a sound that connects tradition with the present and impressively represents the diversity of Jewish music. The repertoire includes well-known and forgotten compositions and poems in Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino. Folkadu thus builds a musical bridge between East and West and promotes cultural understanding that is both timeless and highly relevant.

After years of anticipation, one of the most distinctive and explosive bands on the contemporary international scene is returning to the Czech Republic. Trio Malox is coming to the ŠTETL FEST festival to once again remind us what music without borders sounds like. The ensemble, led by brothers Eyal Talmudi (saxophone, clarinet) and Assaf Talmudi (keyboards), together with energetic drummer Roy Chen, connects the Jewish klezmer tradition with rock’n’roll, psychedelia, electronics and uncompromising avant-garde. Since their last concert in Brno, the band has toured the world’s festival stages and club scene, continuing to develop their characteristic sound, in which virtuoso wind instruments collide with hypnotic rhythms and electronic surfaces.

American violinist, composer, ethnomusicologist and one of the most prominent contemporary klezmer performers, Yale Strom, will guide workshop participants through the history and specific musical language of the klezmer tradition. The practically-oriented workshop is open to musicians of all levels and instruments. Participants will try out the characteristic melodic ornaments, rhythm and interpretation nuances that distinguish klezmer from other forms of folk music. The meeting will also include a joint study of a piece originating from the territory of the former Czechoslovakia. Selected participants will have the opportunity to join the evening concert directly on stage and experience the unique connection of community music making with professional performance. The workshop will be held in English.
