Bezobratři
The group Bezobratři was formed in 2004 by three enthusiasts of traditional wind instruments: Pavel Císarík, Marek Gonda, and Jan Glembka. The trio’s initial goal was simply to meet and share the joy of playing together—a challenge, given that the nature of these instruments—typically associated with the solitude of a shepherd’s life—did not naturally lend itself to ensemble performance. It was during this period that the name "Bezobratři" (literally "Elder-Brothers") was coined; the instruments—various types of folk flutes and the *fujara*—were crafted from elder wood (*bez*).
