Les Misérables

On February 13, 2009, one of the most famous musicals written in the twentieth century premiered at the Music Stage of the Brno City Theatre. The story of the escaped convict Jean Valjean, based on Hugo's famous novel of the same name, Les Misérables (1862), won the hearts of audiences not only in Brno during more than 130 performances, and Petr Gazdík won the prestigious Thalia Award for his portrayal of the lead role.
