Ballet at the Bishop's Court
Every summer, the Bishop's Court turns into an open-air theatre. This year, we will present Romeo and Juliet at this venue with a strong genius loci. Shakespeare's story of two young people from opposing families is probably familiar to everyone. However, in the performance of the NdB Ballet, it takes on a new form: the choreography of Mário Radačovský to the music of Sergei Prokofiev creates a powerful dance experience from this timeless tragedy. A specially adapted open-air version was created for the summer performance at the Bishop's Court - whether you have seen the production at the Janáček Theatre or not, this performance is worth a visit in itself. Last year, the ballet Romeo and Juliet was missing at the Bishop's Court - this year we will perform it for you four times.
