The Filip Żółtowski Quartet is a jazz ensemble from Gdańsk, Poland, that blends traditional jazz elements with modern electronic sounds and hip-hop influences. The group is currently in the process of rebranding under a new, more versatile name: Yolk.
Founded in 2020 by trumpeter Filip Żółtowski, the quartet is known for combining jazz improvisation, electronic textures (inspired by artists such as Flume and Medasin), and hip-hop-influenced beats. Their music also incorporates elements of Polish folklore and places a strong emphasis on individual expression.
They have released two albums, *Humanity* and *Bibi*—the latter of which leans more heavily into electronic sounds and makes more extensive use of synthesizers. The band has already delivered outstanding performances at numerous festivals across Europe.
The Filip Żółtowski Quartet consists of: Filip Żółtowski – trumpet, synthesizer; Szymon Zawodny – saxophone; Wojdek Wojda – keyboards, synthesizer; and Mikołaj Staňko – drums and percussion.
