Michal Prokop & Framus five
Framus Five is one of the most important bands in Czech rock history. The band's origins can be traced back to 1963, but the real history under its current name dates back to 1967, when the current guitarist Michal Prokop first stood up to the microphone as a singer. It temporarily ceased its activities twice, once in 1971 and then in 1990, when leader Michal Prokop entered politics. In 2006, after the release of the album First Time Last Time, Framus Five fully resumed its concert activities with the following line-up: Michal Prokop – vocals, guitar, harmonica Jan Hrubý – violin Pavel Marcel – guitar Andy Čermák – keyboards Zdeněk Wimpy Tichota – bass Pavel Razím – drums Jiří Šíma – saxophone Roman Němec – trumpet
