Imagine Baroque Manětín in its heyday: in the fairytale courtyard, music flows from the windows of the castle hall not only during celebrations, but often on weekdays as well, thanks to the exceptional local bandmaster. He was Mauritius Vogt (1669—1730), a fascinating composer and a man of many other talents — surveyor, cartographer and historian. Josef Antonín Plánický also worked with him in Manětín, and they were only a short distance away from Dobřany to the famous Jan Josef Ignác Brentner.
