Szidi Tobias & Band
The Slovak singer is one of the most prominent personalities of chanson not only in Slovakia, but also in the Czech Republic, where she is often associated with the name of the emerging Hana Hegerová. Her charisma and specific timbre of her voice are a combination for a strong artistic experience. This is achieved by a feeling for combining music with an emphasis on detail and capturing the moment, so that each of the songs turns into a small theatrical performance with a captivating atmosphere with an exceptionally strong emphasis on content and message. In the songs of Szidi Tobias we find an ideal combination of text and music in the excellent interpretative performances of the band Szidi Tobias & Band. Their joint repertoire includes compositions from the author's workshop of Milan Vyskočáni, the author of the lyrics is Peter Lipovský.
Iva Bittová & Petr Pavlinec: Kala Zingarica
A unique musical evening in a powerful and authentic setting.
The Kala Zingarica project presents nearly forgotten songs of the Roma people from the Horňácko region and its surroundings in a fresh, original interpretation. Singer and violinist Iva Bittová, together with cimbalom player Petr Pavlinec, open up a musical world where tradition naturally blends with improvisation, emotion, and contemporary expression.
Here, vocals, violin, and cimbalom are not merely instruments; they become a means of telling stories that have long remained hidden. The result is a powerful—at times almost hypnotic—musical experience.
Guest performers include the children's choirs Slavíček and Rosénka from the Arts Schools in Velká nad Veličkou and Veselí nad Moravou, led by Miroslava Zalubilová.
The concert is held to mark the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Roma Holocaust, commemorating the tragic night of August 2–3, 1944, and honoring the hundreds of thousands of Roma victims of Nazi genocide. The event takes place at the authentic site of the Memorial to the Holocaust of the Roma and Sinti in Moravia, located in Hodonín u Kunštátu.

Good Riddance (USA) + March (NL/BE)
Californian hardcore punks Good Riddance are coming to Brno for the first time in their thirty-year existence! There are not many bands that have left such a mark on American, and indeed global hardcore punk, while maintaining their identity throughout. The debut For God and Country already impressed the scene at the time like a proverbial brick thrown into stagnant water, mainly with its unique combination of classic Californian (made in Santa Cruz baby) melodic skate punk and hardcore, which was played much harder than other bands of this style and, above all, with a very clear political accent in the lyrics. Singer Russ Rankin said at the time, with a bit of exaggeration, that he was trying to play something between Descendents and Born Against, and it actually fit perfectly. After all, the drummer Sean Sellers from another cult political band Downcast was and still is in the lineup at that time. With the goal of playing melodic and straightforward hardcore punk with hit choruses, but with a clear political content, Good Riddance recorded their next four and still most respected albums, such as Ballads from the Revolution and Operation Phoenix.

The duo Srđan Bulatović & Darko Nikčević has gained international acclaim for its exceptional virtuosity and dynamic performances, particularly two highly successful concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2016 and 2017. Their unique blend of irregular Balkan rhythms and diverse international influences reflects the beauty of the Mediterranean and the mysticism of the Orient.

Vocalist Anna Habancová and guitarist Tomáš Janoška will guide you through an evening filled with timeless jazz standards, swing classics, and popular hits, all presented in unexpected arrangements. Alongside songs like "Fly Me to the Moon," "Summertime," "Cheek to Cheek," and "Dream a Little Dream," you can look forward to unique interpretations of tracks by Michael Jackson, Queen, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Amy Winehouse, and George Ezra, as well as the poetic compositions of Zuzana Navarová.

Their collaboration combines acoustic instruments with electronics and works with themes of sharing, dialogue and sustainable lifestyle. Nigel North
Nigel North (born in London) has been playing the lute for over 50 years, having started at the age of 15. From 1999 to 2024, he served as Professor of Lute at the Early Music Institute at Indiana University in Bloomington, USA. He returned to Europe in July 2024 and now lives in Ghent, Belgium. His previous positions include the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (1976–1996), the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin (1993–1999), and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (2006–2009). Initially inspired at the age of seven by the early 1960s instrumental pop group The Shadows, Nigel North went on to study classical violin and guitar before discovering his true vocation: the lute. Bach’s music has always been his first love—an affinity cemented after he dreamt, at the age of 12, that J. S. Bach handed him a lute. After attending one of Nigel’s Bach recitals in London in 2002, Julian Bream remarked: "I remember going to a remarkable recital—one I wish I could have given myself: it was a Bach recital by Nigel North, and I was astounded by the mastery and musicality of the performance. A truly musical experience—something one rarely hears from guitarists or lutenists, and something generally quite rare." Nigel North is the author of the book *Continuo Playing on the Lute, Archlute and Theorbo* (Faber, 1986; also published by Indiana University Press). In 2024, Le Luth Doré (Paris) released *Bach on the Lute*, Volumes 1 and 2, featuring transcriptions for baroque lute of J. S. Bach’s works BWV 1001–1006 and 1007–1012, as well as his complete works for lute (BWV 999–1006a). His latest book, *Playing with Patterns: 16th-Century Divisions on the Lute* (Oxford University Press), and a new edition of the complete lute works of John Dowland (Le Luth Doré, Paris) are scheduled for release in 2026. His discography includes four CDs of *Bach on the Lute*, four CDs of lute music by John Dowland, four CDs of music by Sylvius Weiss, and two CDs of music by Francesco da Milano. Most recently, he recorded a double CD for "Deux-Elles" featuring Bach’s complete works for lute alongside other new transcriptions.
MICHAL HRŮZA & BAND HRŮZY
Singer and composer Michal Hrůza has been active in the Czech music scene for more than thirty years and has an incredible number of hits to his credit. He began his music career at a military high school, where he was a member of the school music group and played in amateur theater. In 1996, he founded the group Ready Kirken, with which he recorded five music albums and wrote more than fifty songs and lyrics for them. His composition for Aneta Langerová Voda živá was a hit of the year in 2005 and 2006. In 2006, he was expelled from the band, and so he was at the birth of his new group called Kapela Hrůzy. He created the albums Bílá velryba (2007), Napořad (2009), Noc (2012), Sám sebou (2017), Světlo do tmy (2020). He also contributed to the music for the films Lidice (2011), Martin and Venus (2012), Zakážné úslužbení (2014), Padesátka (2015), Pohádky pro Emu (2016), Špunti na vodě (2017) and most recently Někdo to rád v Plzeň (2025). He is the author of many jingles for television shows (the series Vyprávěj, Mazalové, ..). He sang a cover of the song Píseň kowbojská, which became the jingle for the TV series Slunečná (2020).

They first brought their work to life in 2023 with the EP *What Became of Reverend Killjoy?*, featuring six tracks that showcase their take on Americana—a style influenced by the diverse genres of the New World. Their songs blend country, folk, and blues with elements of bluegrass, as well as touches of western swing and rock 'n' roll.
In their current lineup—Martin Binder (guitar, mandolin, dobro), Tom Oakland (guitar, banjolele, harmonica), and Šimon Jakubíček (double bass)—they have moved away from electric instruments; they captured this journey, delving even deeper into their roots, on the album *Outlaw's Prayer*, released in early 2025.
