SNACKTHIEF
Retrospective dirty indie rock with occasional bits of chopped-up hardcore. Snackthief refers mainly to the bands of the so-called midwest emo scene of the nineties, such as Cap'n Jazz, The Promise Ring, The Get Up Kids or Cursive. Beneath the surface of the apparent mess, there are fragile, sad melodies, with the proper pathos dedicated to all outsiders, just like their whole subtly urgent debut record. They are currently preparing their second album, which should be released on the Korobushka Records label in 2023.
LEVANTADORES
Levantadores is a relatively new Brno band made up of members of Ghost of you, Ette Enaka and Neoromantix. Live, they perform the musical equivalent of a moonwalk followed by a fall down the stairs on your back into a basement full of beer-flavored cotton candy. In November, they released their debut album Don Vajumi's Total Frogal Aquaboogie, which they have already baptized. The trio returns to A2 after less than a year.
