• 300 years since the birth of Josef Schreier, a native of Dřevohostice near Přerov and a cantor and choir director in Bílovice near Uherské Hradiště • Using texts in both Latin and the local dialect, Schreier’s pastoral mass is one of the most interesting products of Moravian Baroque-era cantors •  In the eighteenth century Schreier wrote Christmas masses within the Franciscan tradition • A pastoral mass by Jiří Ignác Linek, a cantor and choir director in Bakov nad Jizerou • Bach’s Magnificat (in a Christmas version) dating from the composer’s Leipzig period
