The year 2024 is not only the Year of Czech Music and the bicentenary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana, but also the year in which Dennis Russell Davies, chief conductor of the Brno Philharmonic, will celebrate his significant jubilee. Two days after his birthday, which falls on April 16, Dennis Russell Davies will perform with his artistic and life partner Maki Namekawa at Besední dům to pay tribute to the founder of Czech national music together - as a piano duo. Their performance of My Homeland will be accompanied by Cori O'Lan's visualization, the starting point of which will be visual impressions captured on the way through Smetana's homeland.
