Music Marathon Brno 2022 I Fanfare Ciocărlia

The "World's Fastest Brass Band" has played more than 3,000 concerts worldwide and released a number of highly acclaimed albums in a career spanning a quarter of a century. We are talking about Fanfare Ciocărlia, a twelve-member Romanian wind group. Among the musical instruments you will find, for example, trumpets, horns, tubas, clarinets, saxophones and a host of percussion instruments. The band's music contains traditional Romanian and Roma folk elements. But he also draws inspiration from Turkish, Serbian and Macedonian music, and is not afraid of influences from international radio, Hollywood or Bollywood. They also showed themselves to the world through music in the film industry - their songs were heard in the films Borat 1 and 2, in which Sacha Baron Cohen became famous. The band will also present songs from their last album, last year, to the marathon fans.
