Music Marathon Brno 2022 I Čečera Women's Choir & guests

Singers from Čečera will take listeners to the Brno Music Marathon through the landscape of the White Carpathians a little further north. Moravské Kopanice is their home, so local songs make up the majority of their repertoire. In addition to music, they also focus on other traditions of the local region; customs, from which in 2004 they created a dramatic-musical evening called "On desire and enchantment", which is dedicated to the phenomenon of Kopanic sciences, the so-called goddesses. Another interest of the choir is the costume, where they strive for the greatest possible variety of costumes. From written and pictorial sources from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, they reconstructed a now defunct head covering called a scarf, and most of the members of the choir also actively embroider. The Janovský couple will dance with them at the Marathon, and they will be accompanied by the music of Metošé.
