Aliaksandr Yasinski / accordion

A selection from Yasinski's own compositions and author's arrangements of compositions by Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů

Aliaksandr Yasinski is a virtuoso accordionist and composer of Belarusian origin who studied and lives in the Czech Republic for a long time. His work combines such contradictory influences as the folk songs of (especially) Eastern European nations, jazz, French chanson, Argentine tango, contemporary classical music and impulses from the electronic dance scene. Yasinký's concerts are characterized by his perfect mastery of the instrument, the button accordion called the bajan, often combined with his own singing and captivating spontaneity, which is immediately transferred to the listeners, whether they came to the concert specifically for the performer or discovered him by chance. In line with the theme of "metamorphosis", the program of the Concentus Moraviae festival will include, in addition to their own compositions, original adaptations of classics of Czech music.
