Misericordia

17/05/22, 19:00

As part of its dramaturgical line of church concerts, this time the Ensemble Opera Diversa is heading to the premises of the new church in Lesná, whose acoustically captivating spaces will be filled by a chamber orchestra, solo trumpet and chamber choir. Three Czech premieres will be heard during the evening - in contrast to the works of contemporary British authors (Matthews, MacMillan) and compositions based on the tradition of European minimalism. The words of the medieval antiphon Da pacem, Domine, set to music by Pēteris Vasks, as well as the motive of mercy that fulfills the cantata of Lukáš Borzík and at the same time gives the name to the concert itself, are especially relevant at this difficult time.
