Ibérica 2023: Virginia Delgado "Concierto flamenco"

Virginia Delgado, a native of Madrid, will present her project CONCIERTO FLAMENCO in Lišeń's Dělňák, which is a dance journey between different Andalusian regions, each of which represents a characteristic flamenco style.
Elegance and passion are synonyms that describe the dance of Virginia Delgado, who will be accompanied by three great flamenco musicians: Morenito de Triana, Mateo Garriga and Filip Zubák.
The domain of versatile dancer Virginia Delgado Olmedo is primarily classical Spanish dance and flamenco. In addition to his captivating dance performance, he also plays virtuoso on an instrument that is synonymous with Spain for many - the castanets. Virginia comes from Madrid, she studied classical ballet from the age of twelve, but at the age of seventeen she completely fell in love with the beauty and passion of flamenco. At the same time, she intensively studied Spanish classical dance, bolero and contemporary dance with professors Ela Camino and Anna De la Orden. At the age of eighteen, she became a member of the flamenco ensemble Triana, and a few years later she successfully participated in the famous competition of dance choreographers at the Albéniz Theater in Madrid. Later, she temporarily settled in Germany, where she successfully created several new choreographies. In 2005, her choreographies of Spanish classical dance won 2nd place in the prestigious Roseta Mauri competition in Barcelona, in the Clásico Español category. During her professional career, Virginia also devoted herself to teaching activities, which she continues with enthusiasm even after her move to Central Europe, as a professor of classical ballet, Clásico Español and flamenco in Prague.
