Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet No. 4 C minor Op. 18/4

The Meccore String Quartet will continue the tradition of Polish quartet playing and perform two exceptional Polish works from the modern repertoire at the festival: Krzysztof Penderecki, made famous by the monumental themes of his symphonic and oratorio works, confided his internal problems in the Pages of an Unwritten Diary quartet, while Karol Szymanowski experimented with polytonality in impressionist moods. And Beethoven used his fateful key of C minor for the first and last time in the fourth of his sixteen quartets.
