The Concentus Moraviae Quartet has been assembled especially for this year’s festival by the violinist, Josef Špaček, from the ranks of his excellent classmates from America. The ensemble will perform Samuel Barber’s string quartet containing the famous Adagio, which has become the unofficial memorial to the American fallen. Josef Špaček and the pianist Miroslav Sekera will then perform Ernest Chausson’s double concerto as soloists.
