The Officium recording from 1994 was a pivotal turning point in the modern music world: the first crossover project between classical music and jazz, featuring the saxophonist Jan Garbarek and the vocal quartet Hilliard Ensemble. The recent farewell to the stage of the famous English vocal ensemble prompted Marco Mencoboni and Gavino Murgia to keep this extraordinary project alive thanks to the soloists of the Cantar Lontano ensemble.
